Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using and accessing any of the Services, you agree to the collection, use, and disclosure of your information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to this Privacy Policy, please do not use or access any of the Services.

Here at Est 1469, we take your privacy seriously and want to be clear and transparent about what data we collect, how it’s used and what rights you have with regards to your data. This Privacy Policy describes how Est 1469 Ltd (the “Site”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and discloses your personal information when you visit, use our services, or make a purchase from www.est1469.com (the “Site”) or otherwise communicate with us (collectively, the “Services”). For purposes of this Privacy Policy, “you” and “your” means you as the user of the Services, whether you are a customer, website visitor, or another individual whose information we have collected pursuant to this Privacy Policy.

  1. Changes to This Privacy Policy:

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, including to reflect changes to our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will post the revised Privacy Policy on the Site, update the “Last updated” date and take any other steps required by applicable law.

Section 1 – What do we do with your Information?:

  1. When you purchase from our store:

When you purchase something from our store, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address, phone number and email address. We use the order Information that we collect generally to fulfil any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations). Additionally, we use this order information to communicate with you, screen our orders for potential risk or fraud and when in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services. Every email (other than order-related emails) will include an unsubscribe link in the footer which will allow you to opt-out of any further email marketing communication at any time.

  1. When you sign up to our mailing list:

If you opt-in to receiving emails from us via a sign-up form on our website, we may send you emails about our store, new products, and other updates. Again, you are free to unsubscribe at any time. We use Mailchimp as our email provider and your email address will be stored securely on their servers. You can read the Mailchimp privacy policy here.

  1. When you visit our site:

When you visit our site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the site.

Our website uses Google Analytics, a service which transmits website traffic data to Google servers. Google Analytics does not identify individual users or associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. Google Analytics provides information that helps us to analyse our website traffic and make sure it meets the needs of as many users as possible. This information helps us to gain useful insights such as our most and least popular pages, most popular products and the average time spent on our site. The cookies used for this purpose contain no personally identifiable data. You can read more about how Google uses your Personal Information here.  You can also opt-out of Google Analytics here.

In addition to analytics, we use a feature of Google Adwords that allows us to optimize the delivery of ad content specifically targeted to a visitor’s interests based upon previous visits to our site. For example, if you’ve viewed a particular product, you may see an ad elsewhere on the internet with a special offer for that product. However, this still does not allow us to identify you as an individual.

We use Google and Facebook Remarketing to advertise Est 1469 across the Internet, on the Google Display Network and Facebook feeds. Remarketing will display ads to you based on what parts of the Est 1469 website you have viewed by placing a cookie on your web browser. This cookie does not in any way identify you or give access to your computer or mobile device. The cookie is used to indicate to other websites that “This person visited a particular page, so show them ads relating to that page”. Without the use of cookies, you will see ads which are irrelevant to you. Google and Facebook Remarketing allows us to tailor our marketing to better suit your needs and interests and only display ads that are relevant to you.

For more information about how targeted advertising works, you can visit the Network Advertising Initiative’s (“NAI”) educational page here.

You can opt out of targeted advertising using the following links:

Facebook – https://www.facebook.com/settings/?tab=ads

Google – https://www.google.com/settings/ads/anonymous

Bing – https://advertise.bingads.microsoft.com/en-us/resources/policies/personalized-ads

Additionally, you can opt out of some of these services by visiting the Digital Advertising Alliance’s opt-out portal here.

Section 2 – Consent:

  1. How do you get my consent?:

When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery or return a purchase, you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only.

If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent, or provide you with an opportunity to say no.

When you visit our site for the first time, you will be presented with a pop-up informing you that our site uses cookies and that we use tracking tools for analytics and advertising. By clicking “I accept”, you agree to our use of cookies and tracking tools (such as Google analytics and Facebook pixel).

  1. How do I withdraw my consent?:

If after you opt-in, you change your mind, you may withdraw your consent for us to contact you, for the continued collection, use or disclosure of your information, at anytime, by contacting us at [email protected]. Alternatively, you can unsubscribe from our email list by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email we send. The exception to this is transactional emails (e.g. order confirmations, shipping confirmations, customer service follow ups), as these are necessary in order to provide the service we offer.

If you would like to opt-out of tracking, you may do so using the methods outlined in section 1.

Section 3 – Disclosure:

We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service.

Section 4 – Sharing your Personal Information:

We share your Personal Information with third parties to allow us to offer our services to you, or to help us in operating our business in the ways described above.  For example, we use Woocommerce to power our online store – you can read more about how woocommerce uses your Personal Information here. Your data is stored on the Woocommerce secure servers behind a firewall. Similarly, we use Google Analytics to analyse the traffic that comes into our site, so the anonymous data we collect is stored on Google’s servers.

If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Woocommerce stores your credit card data temporarily. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.

All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

Section 5 – Your Rights:

If you are a European resident, you have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. If you would like to exercise this right, please contact us by sending an email to [email protected].

Additionally, if you are a European resident, we note that we are processing your information in order to fulfil contracts we might have with you (for example if you make an order through the site), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above. Additionally, please note that your information will be transferred outside of Europe, including to Canada and the United States.

Section 6 – Data Retention:

When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information. However, we reserve the right to decline the request if a legitimate legal justification exists (e.g. records required to fulfil tax obligations).

The anonymous analytics data will be retained for 50 months to allow us to analyse our website trends over a five-year period.

Section 7 – Security:

To protect your personal information, we follow industry best practices to make sure it is not lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.

When you place an order with us, we protect your credit card information by using a secure server (SSL- secure socket layer-encryption, the Internet standard for secure transactions) for browsers that can accept it. SSL encrypts your ordering information, such as your name and credit card details so that they cannot be read in transit. The financial data is available only to the banks and credit card clearing services for the purpose of processing payments.

As an additional safety concern, please be assured that once the transaction is complete, your credit card details will not be stored on our database along with your other personal details.

Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional industry standards.

Section 8 – Cookies:

We use cookies to provide the services and features offered on our website, and to improve our user experience (see section 1).

A cookie is a tiny text file that contains some information that may be passed back and forth between your browser (e.g. Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox, or Safari) and a computer running a website (typically the site that set the cookie). It is only a plain text file, does not contain any code and cannot do anything. Most websites set them, and many cannot function properly without them. Typically, they just contain an identifier so that the server knows that it has seen this visitor before. This means, for example, that someone can log in to a website and stay logged in, they can set their preferences or not be repeatedly shown the same information. If a website didn’t use cookies, it would think you were a new user every time you moved to a different page. To find out more about cookies and what they are used for, click here.

By navigating to our site and clicking “I Accept”, you agree to such use of cookies, unless you later decide to disable them. Please note that if you delete or disable our cookies you may experience interruptions or limited functionality in certain areas of the website.

You can find more information on our cookie policy here.

Section 9 – Age of Consent:

By using this site, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence, or that you are the age of majority in your state or province of residence, and you have given us your consent to allow any of your minor dependents to use this site.

Section 10 – Changes to this Privacy Policy:

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you here that it has been updated, so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we use and/or disclose it.

If our store is acquired or merged with another company, your information may be transferred to the new owners so that we may continue to sell products to you.

Questions & Contact Information:

If you would like to access, correct, amend or delete any personal information we have about you, register a complaint, or simply want more information, please contact our Privacy Compliance Officer at [email protected] or by mail at:
