It’s clear that Sustainability is the zeitgeist of our time. While it means something different to each one of us, for us here at Royal Blue it’s not just a buzz words that we’ve slapped on our website or some carefully curated marketing material, but rather our commitment to simply leave this world a little better than we found it.
There’s no doubt that our pledge will grow with us, but for now our commitment to you is this:
- To work with artisans, makers & creators that genuinely offer a sustainable alternative and share in our vision to provide our passion & craft with minimal impact on the environment, while promoting a healthy coexistence with the land and its people.
- To keep the environmental impact of the products & services we source and supply, both locally and internationally, front and centre of mind at all times.
- To minimise the use of unnecessary single-use items, waste and packaging, especially for astetics.
- To continuely educte ourselves and our customers on the value and benefits of new and alternative methods to source and supply goods, and not to get comfortable in our status quo.
- To actively source from local suppliers and minimise our carbon footprint, whenever possible.
- To seek out partners within indigenous & underprivileged communities, to help support them by creating long-lasting partnerships and to help empower them through social enterprise.
- To only create, produce &/or source what is needed and not to over-consume, whenever possible. .
We are confident that by taking these initial steps, overtime we will meet and collaborate with other likeminded individuals & companies that share our vision and can help us to develop a collective community responsibility.
As our first positive step, to help encourage our community to join us on this journey, we will be incentivising our customers to return reusable items such as glass containers for a repeat purchase discount.
